In 2019 Puget Sound Energy initiated a pilot program to begin the integration of vehicle charging into their services.  They chose the Juice Box charging station as the product and EV Support as the installing contractor.  We have a crew dedicated to installing these in customers’ homes and they have been moving at a brisk pace.  The pilot program is fully subscribed;  we started last fall and will be installing these through March 2020.

EV charging is a promising new source of electricity sales, with approximately 50,000 plug-in vehicles in Washington as of the end of 2019.  These cars are keeping about $20-$40 million from leaving the state to pay for gasoline.  Can you imagine the economic boon that a half-million cars will provide?  It’s a win-win-win, except the oil companies lose.  Isn’t that too bad.
